Re-form takes the idea of Mother Nature as a point of departure, inviting viewers to reconsider the relationship between the human body and the natural world. It seeks to return to the purest form of the human figure and embrace the original and profound connection between the body and nature.

Gin, Y, Lee, and I ventured into Songluo Lake in Datong Township, Yilan, Taiwan. A gentle rain washed over the lake, while mist slowly enveloped the forest. Everything felt so pure that we instinctively removed our clothes and walked barefoot, allowing our bodies to exist without barriers between ourselves and nature.

The rain fell softly across our skin, feeling as warm as sunlight. In that moment, I felt an overwhelming sense of comfort and joy, surrounded by close friends, gentle weather, and peaceful thoughts.

Y and I decided to preserve that experience through a portrait. Without hesitation, we embraced one another, feeling neither self-conscious nor uncertain—only peace. In that embrace, we rediscovered our truest selves and our connection to the land and the natural world.
